Biographie

Kobe Williams is an artist Passionate about art and Music, culture, specialized in visual art technics like Sand Art and Chalk Art and also a cultural promoter.

1- Academic life

By his real name is William Akwe, Kobe was born in the village of NDOM in the South West of Cameroon of MEME division in Tombel. Passionate about Basketball, he eventually adopted the name KOBE in high school like the American basketball star Kobe Bryant. Kobe Williams grew up The Haussa quarter of Nyalla in Douala 3rd. He did his primary, secondary and high School at GENIE MILITAIRE in Nyalla, Douala 3rd. Since a lad, he expressed his passion for art drawing as he was engaged in many cultural activities and also participated in many academic drawing competitions at his high school. After obtaining his GCE ADVANCED LEVEL in 2011 ( high school diploma), he spent just a year at the University of Douala which he later on left to engage as a teacher in an elementary school.

2- professional life

Kobe Williams started teaching in 2013 in an elemantary school in Nyalla, Douala 3rd called SOPHIA. It was in this elementary school that he discovered chalk painting. On September 23, 2016, he experimented his first chalk drawing in a classroom and this is how the love for chalk painting was born. The more time passed, the more difficult it was for him to consolidate his passion and career as an artist and that of teaching. In 2017 William made the decision to quit teaching to pursue his career as an artist.
